In 2016, the College is marking its 130th year. Throughout the decades, the regulator of British Columbia's medical profession has come a long way. While its mandate has always been to ensure patient safety, the way in which the College serves has adapted with the introduction of new laws and an evolving society. These changes led to moments in the College’s history where decisions were made by its governors to improve accountability, increase transparency, and broaden the College’s scope.
This year, the College will take you through its story, from its early beginnings, all the way to what lies ahead. Be sure to check back for regular updates to learn more about how the College is serving BC patients.
