Seeking public feedback on draft Cultural Safety and Humility practice standard principles

The College is currently drafting a new Cultural Safety and Humility practice standard to clearly communicate its expectations of physicians and surgeons in providing culturally safe care to Indigenous patients. All members of the public are encouraged to share their feedback on the draft principles, especially those who identify as Indigenous.

Revised practice standard published

As part of the regular review cycle for practice standards and professional guidelines, the previously titled Withdrawal of Registrant Services practice standard was reviewed and revised to incorporate a new title, more inclusive pronouns, and clearer principles related to the standard’s application and what is considered an appropriate period of notice. The revised practice standard was approved by the Board and published on May 28, 2021.
