The Board began work on the College’s 2018–2020 strategic planning process at its January 2017 meeting. At this meeting, the Board reviewed results from feedback obtained through extensive stakeholder consultation on past performance, as well as input on priorities and focus areas for the coming three-year period.
Over the next six months, strategic themes were developed, along with a new mission statement that more clearly states the College’s unchanging purpose, and definitions to explain the values articulated in the Health Professions Act. Annual objectives and performance measures will align with the three strategic themes.
The 2018–2020 Strategic Plan is a forward-looking roadmap that provides a common direction to the College’s business planning, with specific actions, targeted measures and agreed-to completion dates. It was approved by the Board in January 2018.
