Dr. Heidi M. Oetter, Registrar and CEO
Dr. Heidi Oetter received her medical degree from UBC in 1985 and practised as a family physician for 18 years in BC. She joined the College as a deputy registrar in 2004 and was appointed to the position of registrar in 2008.
Dr. J. Galt Wilson, Senior Deputy Registrar
Dr. Galt Wilson received his medical degree from UBC in 1979 and practised as a family physician for 29 years in Prince George. He served as president of the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC from 2005 to 2007, and joined the College as a deputy registrar in 2009.
Dr. Ailve M. McNestry, Deputy Registrar
Dr. Ailve McNestry received her medical degree from Dublin, Ireland in 1977. She practised as a family physician in BC and worked as a medical advisor for WorkSafeBC until joining the College as a deputy registrar in 2011.
Dr. Michael Murray, Deputy Registrar
Dr. Michael Murray received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1983. He practised emergency medicine in Ontario prior to relocating to British Columbia where he held various positions in health authority administration. He joined the College as a deputy registrar in 2015.
Mr. Michael Epp, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Michael Epp received his master of business administration from Simon Fraser University in 1997 while working at the BC Medical Association (now Doctors of BC). During his 15 years with the BCMA, he held various senior positions, including director, policy and planning in the last five years. Mr. Epp has been a lecturer at UBC’s Master of Health Administration Program. He joined the College as chief operating officer in 2007.
Mr. Graeme Keirstead, Chief Legal Counsel
Mr. Graeme Keirstead graduated with a law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1991 and was called to the Bar in 1992. He worked at the Law Society from 1999, responsible for a number of different portfolios, until joining the College in 2013 as chief legal counsel.
Ms. Corinne de Bruin, Executive Director
Corinne de Bruin graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of BC and is certified with the Canadian Society of Association Executives. Prior to joining the College as director, registration services in 2012, she held management positions in strategic planning, policy and program development at the Ministry of Finance, Workers’ Compensation Board and Legal Services Society. She assumed the position of executive director, registration services in 2016.
